CHORIZO DATA LAYER 2: Case Studies' data sets

Data layer 2 presents new evidence generated from the CHORIZO project, focusing on how social norms influence food loss and waste behaviors across various contexts. The findings are based on six case studies that explore food waste issues across different sectors and environments:

Case Study 1: Household food waste during both crisis and non-crisis periods.

Case Study 2: Food waste in the hospitality industry.

Case Study 3: Food waste generated by food service operations.

Case Study 4: Food waste in schools and its relationship to obesity and malnutrition.

Case Study 5: Food waste within food banks' supply chains.

Case Study 6: Food waste in relation to date labeling and the use of sustainable, smart food packaging.

This evidence sheds light on how social behaviors and norms interact with various stages of the food supply chain, providing insights that can inform strategies to reduce food loss and waste.
