Notes | One of the first municipalities in the country, Gladsaxe has mapped food waste in the entire municipality to be used as a baseline for the goal of reducing food waste by 50 percent by 2030. The action is based on the FoodOp measurement technology. The baseline shows that, only approximately 2 percent of food waste occurs in municipal kitchens such as children's homes and care centres, while the retail trade and households account for 62 percent and 26 percent of the total food waste, respectively. Company canteens account for 7 percent and restaurants and cafes account for 2 percent. |
