1	Overskudsmad til skoler (Learning about retail surplus food for schoools)	A pilot project with the aim of finding a sustainable model for collaboration between schools and supermarkets that can be scaled up nationally and reduce food waste. The pilot project includes the development of teaching material on food waste for food science teachers and courses for the canteen staff at the two schools. The concept is: Students go to the local supermarket to see and hear about the surplus foods that goes into the bin in the back of the warehouse. The students are given vegetables and bread, which can no longer be sold because of the best-before label, but which can still be eaten. They go back to the school with some of the surplus food in their back-pack, and cook delicious food from these surplus ingredients and taste them together with the rest of the class.
