1	Valorization of food waste from households, restaurants and commercial kitchens: biogas production for local buses and private passenger cards in the vicinity	The Municipality of Vaxjo and the regional waste management company (SSAM) transform foodwaste into biogas for city buses and passenger cars. There is a local gas station that lets people fill their cars with locally generated biogas. The remaining sludge is then diverted to arable lands to be used as fertilizer.
